The Beginnings of Globe Memorial
Globe Memorial began as a small, family-run workshop in Lidcombe. As the business grew over the years, we relocated to a larger premises in Auburn, which now serves as our main office and factory. Our generational family history makes Globe deeply connected to the families and communities we serve, offering a legacy of skilled hands and quiet pride in every memorial we create. Our promise has been simple from the beginning: every life deserves to be remembered with care, dignity, and meaning.
More than seventy years on, that promise still holds. The tools have changed. The scale has grown. But the heart behind our work remains steady, respectful, and deeply human. Whether it’s a headstone for someone dearly loved or a memorial made for many, we begin by listening, and finish only when the quality speaks for itself.
Memorial Stone Mason: Tradition and Trust
Our Sydney-based facility brings together the heritage of traditional stone masonry with the precision of modern technology. From wet-polished finishes and shaped granite to sandblasted inscriptions, each memorial is crafted using detailed design, digital profiling, and one of Australia’s largest 5-axis stone CNC machine. We source our products, and manufacture locally and globally. All installations comply with all relevant Australian Standards, and our in-house water/stone waste recycling plant reduces waste and minimises environmental impact.
At Globe Memorial, we honour the old ways and embrace the new, creating memorials that are personal, considered, and made to stand the test of time.
We are proud and active members of the Monumental Masons’ Association of NSW (MMA), a non-profit body of independent Master Monumental Masons dedicated to upholding excellence, safety, and industry standards across New South Wales. The MMA provides essential support to both members and cemetery operators, assisting in interpreting and implementing Australian Standards for Cemeteries. It is also consultative in TAFE training requirements and cemetery policy development. Our director, Glenn, currently serves as President of the Association and, alongside Peter Darroch, has contributed to reviewing and updating national standards, reflecting our ongoing commitment to quality, compliance, and leadership within the industry.

We contacted Globe Memorial Company to organise an inscription on Mum’s memorial plaque, and they were so very helpful. Communication was excellent, they got back to us very quickly and once the draft was approved by us, they completed the work within a few days, and also tidied up mums grave. They are a very professional and caring company, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to honour their loved ones. A special thank you to Ailene — she was amazing.

If you need a monumental stonemason call Ailene at Globe Memorials. Sure, get a few other quotes as well, but then get Globe to do the job. Firstly, Globe will probably give you the best quote anyway, if not it won’t be far off. Secondly, Globe will help you iron out the particulars, style, Price points etc, and ways to meet your wishes.
