Vietnamese Community Memorial Project - A Landmark in Remembrance

When Globe Memorial was approached by a leading Vietnamese community organisation in New South Wales, it was clear this would be no ordinary commission. This was to be a sacred space – a memorial park that would span several hectares of natural bushland, and serve not only as a final resting place, but as a cultural symbol, a gathering point, and a site of enduring peace. The community needed more than a contractor. They needed a partner who would honour tradition, respect terrain, and deliver with confidence.

The project brief was ambitious: design and construct a series of custom Columbarium Walls and Cremation Garden Estates across undulating ground, while ensuring spiritual alignment and landscape harmony. Globe was entrusted with every stage – from concept design and consultation to engineering, manufacturing, and on-site installation. Our role wasn’t just logistical; it was emotional and architectural. We were asked to bring memory into form, and form into reverence.

Globe approached the project with cultural care and design integrity from the moment of engagement. Working closely with community leaders, we developed a memorial park that flowed with the land, not against it – balancing structural strength with spiritual significance.

Multiple Columbarium Walls were constructed across the site, each carefully positioned along the terrain’s natural contours. Rather than uniformity, we focused on unity: ensuring each section felt connected yet respectful of the bushland’s natural rhythm. The Cremation Garden Estates were designed as soft, contemplative spaces – landscaped with native planting and gentle pathways to offer privacy, peace, and a sense of timelessness.

At the estate’s highest point, we installed a towering statue – both a spiritual beacon and a visual anchor. It can be seen from almost every angle of the grounds, offering comfort from afar and guidance up close. For many, it now stands as the heart of the memorial – a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with those who came before.

One of the defining achievements of this project was how effortlessly form and feeling came together – and it’s here that Globe Memorial’s capability made all the difference. Spanning several hectares of uneven bushland required creativity, cultural fluency, meticulous engineering, and experience. Each Columbarium Wall was engineered to respect the environment and its ceremonial purpose. The Cremation Garden Estates were laid out with a focus on privacy and unity. Every path, bed, and resting point was placed with intention. Even underfoot, the ground feels soft, natural, and gently navigable – a reflection of our belief that beauty lies not in excess but in ease.
